Sector 37 is a master-planned renewable energy and commercial precinct in Ararat, Victoria, designed to generate clean power, attract industry, and create lasting economic value for the region.
875 Acres
The site spans 875 acres on the eastern side of Ararat, with an option to acquire the adjacent 160-acre Aerodrome. Bordered by the Western Highway to the north and the Hopkins River to the west, the site has existing grid connection, 3-phase power, and direct highway access.
300MW Solar Farm
The solar farm is designed as both an off-grid and grid-connected facility with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). It will power the on-site commercial precinct and supply to the grid, creating a long-term renewable energy asset for the region.
Council & Government Backed
The Development Plan is consistent with the Municipal Planning Strategy and Planning Policy Framework within the Ararat Planning Scheme. Sector 37 is working closely with Ararat Rural City Council, the State Government of Victoria, and InvestVIC.
25MW Microsite - Stage 1
The microsite at 21 Geelong Rd is the first stage of delivery, a 25MW off-grid solar facility with BESS. Anchor tenants Hashworks (Data Centre) and a Canola Processing Plant, have Power Purchase Agreements in place. Delivery is targeted for 2026/2027.
